It’s Father’s Day!

Father’s Day is here! Remember what we did for Mother’s Day? How about doing the same for Dad and listing those things you love about him, too?!

Here are a few of mine . . .

  • how he’d take the family on ski trips in Minnesota up north where there was always lots of snow
  • how he’d take us on vacations to fun summer resorts, and since he loved music, he’d always bring the record player, too!
  • hearing him sing in church as he had a great voice, and he’d sing in harmony, too
  • how he’d send me the best cards when I went off to college with scenic photos on the front, and they’d always make my day

So Happy Father’s Day! May you honor your dad in every way. He’s sure to love your list, and how about a huge hug, too, and have a very special day!

Happy Dad’s Day!

Hey, tween girls! It’s Dad’s Day today! . . . that special day to celebrate your dad.

So what’s happening today? A picnic? Playing some golf? A day at the lake?

While you’re celebrating, how about telling him how special he is and all that he does for you. He’ll be sure to love that! And if he’s no longer with you, let sweet memories and your Heavenly Father be a comfort to you.

So Happy Dad’s Day to all of you! And hoping your day’s filled with laughter and fun!

‘Yay’ for Father’s Day!

So Father’s Day’s coming . . . Yay! A day to celebrate your dad 🙂 So what plans do you have going?

Are you surprising him with a special breakfast or dinner? A picnic in the park or playing a little golf? Whatever you’ve dreamed up, I’m sure he’ll love it. I know you’ll have fun!         

But maybe your dad’s in heaven and no longer with you . . . or maybe you never see him, and things aren’t the best. If so, just think . . . without your earthly father you wouldn’t even be here, so how about just talking to him and working things out . . . I’m sure he’d like that, and God would want that, too. And if you’re a bit hesitant, just listen to God, and He’ll tell you what to do. But also remember, God’s your heavenly father who loves you, and He’s always with you, too 🙂

Exodus 20:12 says, “Honor your father and mother so that you may live long in the land the Lord your God is giving you.” So how about doing just that?! And while you’re at it, how about telling him all that you love about him and giving him a huge hug. And if your dad’s in heaven, let the Lord comfort you as you cherish sweet memories, knowing He’s with you, too.

So have a Happy Father’s Day, and hope your day’s great!
